I miss my studio. At least I know that I stlll have one. :/

I have apprentice level machining skills, but for more than a year now, I have studied solid modeling and machine tool paths for a 5 axis mill. The working volume is 100 mm3 (cube) with micrometer positioning accuracy. The feeling is, abandon all current responsibilities, and learn the skills needed to unleash this tool's potential!

Some kids wrecked their car last night near my house. No tire squeals or smashing glass, just the all too familiar sound of crumpling sheet metal. The driver suffered minor cuts and bruises, maybe some internal injuries. His name is Brian, 16 years old. The passenger, maybe a year older, Matt, no cuts, but later started to lose awareness?

My guess is that a front tire blew out, and with the road having no shoulder, they lost control, caught a few small trees on the front end and spun it around and down into the ditch. The car was totaled. A back-pack in the trunk was tossed 30ft into the neighbor's yard, small debris everywhere. No one else was involved.

If you can do it, always put good tires on the front.
